I like driving for Uber during the summer when everyone is out and about and I like during on Fridays and Saturday nights. These are the best nights for me and I live 15 mins from the city so driving around the city makes me the most money. Lets go over same things that you need to know if you are just starting out driving for Uber.
It’s a easy job to do
One of the great things about driving for Uber is that it’s not hard work. Your cell phone GPS will tell you where to go to pick up the person, once you get there you wait for them which it will not take long. Next take them where that got to go from the Uber app and that’s it, it’s not hard at all and the hard part is driving around other people who are not driving right.
Drive during events in your town
One of the things that you should know is that anything that goes on in your town, you should be driving because some people will not wont to drive and you can make some easy money and once you pick them up and take them to where they have to go, if you can’t find a place to park because of the amount of people, some times your rider will let you drop them off around the corner saving you time. when the event is over, the same people needs a ride back home so there is some easy money.
Use the bathroom before leaving your home
One of the worst things to do is when the price goes up for people who needs rides and you have to use the bathroom. You can lose money this way so what I like to do is log on the Uber app and sign on to find someone who needs a ride. Sometimes you have to wait in order to find someone who needs a ride so I have my stuff ready and my car started and I be inside that house waiting on someone to pick up. Once I get a ride, then I will use the bathroom then go pick them up. Know where you are when you are driving and know the hot spots are on certain days.
Make sure that you have a full tank of gas and your tires are inflated
When you pick someone up, you don’t know where they are going so make you that you have a full tank of as before driving and make sure that you tires has the right amount of air which will help save on gas. You might pick someone up who needs to go far away and you don’t want to run out of gas.
Get the get up side gas app
The get up side gas app is an app that will give you cash back on gas and since you are driving for Uber, it is a no brainer to have. All you have to do is go to the gas station is a on the app, pump gas like you do anyway and then upload a copy of your gas receipt to the app and get some money back. Now the app has a new option where you can save your debit or credit card to the app so every time you go to the gas station on the app and pump gas, you don’t need to upload you gas receipt.
