The terro garbage guard is a small black tool that can and will help you with fly’s and maggots in and around your trash can. You place the terro garbage guard on the back side on your trash can and then close the lid. This will keep pretty much all insects from your trash can outside. I had a big problem with fly’s in my trash can outside where a swarm of fly’s would fly out every time I opened the lid. Some times in the summer months, I would have maggots all over my trash can and I need something to stop it. I tried clean with bleach and hot water and that does help but not for long. I have been using for about 2 months now I the fly’s and bugs are gone. I mean since I have been using the terro garbage guard, I may have seen one or two fly’s total since and the to fly’s that I saw where on top of the trash can. Terro garbage guard is working great and there are no fly’s or maggots in my trash can. The guard stays on and when the trash man comes to get the trash, the guard still stays on. terro garbage guard says it last 4 months so I already brought another one the be on the safe side, This thing just works and I check the trash can every day and I don’t see any fly’s and I don’t see any fly’s around the trash can. I would buy 2 terro garbage guards per year and that will last me 8 months and the price is not bad at all and to be honest, it’s worth the money.
