Starting an online business is very easy these days. It’s even better while you are in high school cause you have something that a lot people don’t have, and that is time. Please now that right now while you are in high school, some people do work while in school ( I did while I was in school) but most kids don’t so you can come home and get to work. Most kids or teenagers don’t have bills to pay, kids or worry about work. I wish I had done these things while I was in high school but you don’t know what you done know, start as soon as you can.
The first thing I would do is start an YouTube channel. Now I think you have to be 18 years to have an YouTube channel so please read the rules for YouTube and please always ask your parents if it’s ok to have an YouTube channel but I would start there. Do video on whatever you are into. For me I was playing a lot of video games in high school so I should started one back then. You can do the same thing but whatever you are into, start there. If you are in after school things, you can do videos about that as well.
I would come home from school, study and do my homework, then produce an video and if you can’t get a YouTube channel, I would just record the video and save those videos for when you start a YouTube channel you already have content made. Getting on YouTube is free and you can use free editing software on your computer or buy one like filmora which is 60 bucks onetime fee. The good thing about editing is that if you start now and learn how to use the editing software, you will over time get better. It takes time to learn how to edit videos and it takes time to see what type of video will do good but if you learn how to do video now and learn how to edit them, you can make some money in the future. I didn’t know how to edit videos until not. It’s something brand new to learn so start now.
Build up your social media profile:
Posting on social media is easy these days, you can post something and people can see it in an instant but every social media platform should you do the most to get the most out. The big 3 I would use and build and it’s in this order is IG is number 1 or it can be number 2, next is pinterest which could be number one of number 2 then last is Facebook. If you can build a Hugh following on pinterest and join group broads to share your content, the more traffic you will get. The same thing with Instagram. The more follower you have the better your chances of making money. If you have a YouTube channel can post your video there as well to get more views. But to be an IG influencer, you must post every day and build a following to a point where people will pay you to promote their product and the best part is that social media is free to use so you can do this in your free time once you find your subject that you want to talk about.
The main thing that you have to do is to start producing content. That is the number thing to do. You can start a blog as well to post content on that people will want to read. So if you start a blog( you can click here to get started with your first blog) start your YouTube channel and produce video or post on social media to build up your brand, all these things producing content for the world. I will also say thing the online business take only part time work if you want it to be. Now you can do the online business full time but also part time so that leaves you time to study for school or learn how to money in something different that you want to do. To be honest since you are building online assets, it will take some time to get traffic so I would do this part time and work on other things.
